LOST and FOUND
Lafayette, Louisiana
Dear Alison,
I'm taking a huge shot in
the dark here.....
My name is Sommer Parvino and I live near
Lafayette, Louisiana and have found an Australian Cattle Dog. I am writing
this email because I've exhausted every other option. As we don't see many of these dogs around our area, I did a search
on breeders within a certain distance thinking that someone may remember him (especially because he seems very young, I
assume less than 2 years old). He was wearing a collar, not thin or overly thirsty,
so sweet natured and seems to be house broken. Distinct Feature: he has one eye that's milky as if he might be blind
in that eye.
As I don't
want to impose, please just look at his picture and if it doesn't trigger something in your memory than don't worry about
replying. My husband and I are such dog lovers; we have our own 3 big dogs and are just heartbroken that this one
is Lost in the World now. We're just trying to exhaust every possible source.
I've included the story of how he came to me,
pretty special.....
Last Sunday, I was leaving my mom's
house and met up with one of her neighbor's in the driveway. She was walking around a dog that her kids had found in
the neighborhood, trying to find the owner. I spent a couple of minutes loving on the dog, then got in my car and headed
to my house 12 MILES AWAY.
On Wednesday morning, I looked out
my kitchen window and in my front yard.....was the Australian Cattle Dog I met on Sunday 12 miles away. It
was one of the most freak things that have ever happend to me in my lifetime.
I thought, is that really possible that this dog followed me home. Maybe so, having driven
home in the convertible with my scent in the open air. I DON'T KNOW....
We've placed an ad on the local radio station, used findtoto.com and paid to have them call 525 homes around my mom's house, posted on various websites.....And haven't had
one phone call with any information. Thanks in advance for your time,
Sommer Parvino
